Trying To Update Garmin Sat Nav And Computer Keeps Telling Me My Security Settings Wont Allow This .ideas?
it sounds like the fire wall settings or maybe the Internet explorer settings need looking at
I have a Garmin 1210 and when I connect it to the pc it charges up but the pc don’t recognise it as a removable disk. any help would be grateful.
My Garmin StreetPilot c330 GPS battery no longer holds a charge. I use the mount to the dashboard, and the cord has to be plugged into the car and the unit for it to power on. It costs $150 for Garmin to repair it, which is more than I can buy one for!
So, does anyone know a trick to get it to start holding a charge again, or how to replace the battery and what type to buy?

Silly question, but do you have the antenna up? If you’re holding it in your hand with the antenna down, it won’t pick up a signal.
Otherwise, it may take as long a 3 minutes to acquire satellite signals, especially if you’re near tall buildings which interfere with the signal. Get out in the open and stop moving to give the unti time to capture a signal.
I’ve tried using the on/off button, and plugging it into my car and the ac outlet. I was using it yesterday. The battery could be bad but would a dead battery not allow it to start when it’s plugged in? help!
I have a Garmin Nuvi 350. I found this campground online and it has the address. However, when I put it in the GPS, it doesn’t find any matches. I checked Google Maps, and it finds it, but the GPS doesn’t. I enter the street number, then the street name, but no matches. I’ve tried 3rd, third, and 3 for the street name. I’ve spelled out avenue and used AVE, but still no results. Why?
i just recently bought the garmin fr60 watch offline, and it came with a heart moniter but not a foot pod i bought one seperately and it wont connect to my watch, what do i do?
I purchased a Garmin nuvi 255w the other day, and when I try to connect it to my Macbook Pro, it is not recognized. Thinking it might be a Mac issue, I fired up Windows XP and it is also not recognized. Don’t you just plug it into the USB port? Am I missing something ?

I recieved my Garmin Nuvi 200, took it out of the box, powered it up, and the first thing it said was there was insufficient data and that there were no maps that support route. Is it out of date or do I need to return it? After I got to the menu I clicked VIEW MAP and then zoomed in on my current position, but even though map detail was at most it only displayed highways and interstates. What should I do?
