just bought a Garmin 2720 and would like to get the traffic updates…How do I:
Get the right antenna cheap?
Get XM radio at the same time as the traffic updates?

Can anyone find me a Garmin nuvi 260w compatible Traffic receiver? Preferably a MSN Traffic receiver? 70 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER!
If I understand the question correct, you are asking about the traffic updates that are available? That is a sdubscription service and requires that you have one of the satellite radios. XM or Sirius I think. My nav system doesn’t have that option.
Also, I just bought the Streetpilot C340, It is preloaded, but I cannot download updated maps because it says I don’t have Mapsource. I cannot download that because my garmin was preloaded… how do I add new maps if I decide to buy them?

looking at the specs it doesnt show anything about traffic redirector
I have a Garmin Nuvi 255WT that supposedly has lifetime traffic updates. Do I have to do something to activate that or turn that on? I did not see any directions about that, and I have not seen any updates about traffic when using it. Am I doing something wrong, or have I just not been in enough traffic for that to activate?

Trafficland is where the Radio stations get their traffic info from.
The traffic receiver works either on a FM broadcast or XM nav traffic depending on service and unit. This will broadcast traffic delays and the unit will give an optional route to avoid the traffic. You could look at this a few ways
1) providing you are in a major city it works great
2) If you have the unit anyway and you know either from radio broadcasts or by looking online that there is traffic in a particular highway and you get off the current route, the unit will always recalculate and get back on route.
I do not use the traffic systems.
I’m debating between buying the Nuvi 750 and the Nuvi 760. The 760 includes FM traffic. Is this just a gimmick, or does it work really well and is useful?
If my location matters, I live in the suburbs of a major U.S. city, and spend a lot of time in the city itself.
