I Have A Garmin Street Pilot And I Was Interested In Buying A Tomtom …?
I wanted the TomTom because of the live traffic feature. How does it work and is it accurate?
I’m thinking to buy the new Garmin street pilot moidel 2720. I have two questions:
1. Once you purchase the unit, is there some type of monthly memberhsip or subscription you have to pay for, or does the system work as it comes from the box.
2. Has anyone has experience with these things? Are they really worth it and was is the ease of use?

We recently bought a Garmin Street pilot i3 on Ebay. Of course it was used as it is an older gps, but we thought it would be a good starter gps. I need to update my maps, but I can’t register it as it was already. What do I do?
i just got a refurbished gps system 2 weeks ago and it doesnt have updated maps. when i type in babies r us, it leads me to their corporate office, same thing with other stores. it also doesnt have the current new roads that were made this year. also when i click on traffic, it asks me to plug in the traffic receiver. what is that?!?!?
Why waste money on a Garmin? I am a human mapquest that is legendary for beating traffic. Need directions? ask me.
connect it to your pc and download the firmware from the garmin website. That is how I did it with my TomTom. It should work with yours too.
Have this street pilot and have not used for years because I am a mac user. Is there anyway to buy/download software to be able to use it with a mac?

I thought the unit is supposed to read SD cards, say with photos or MP3’s on it, but when I put a card in the slot, nothing happens? Are there any geniuses out there that can help me?
