Do i hve to buy GPS tracking. Can GPS Garmin be as a tracking device too?
Thank you
If so, does it function entirely like the real thing for IFR use?
personal reviews?
Whats comparable to this unit?
This Garmin has option for car/motorcycle, truck, bus, emergency, and taxi. I’ve used it as a truck route, and it has lead me to low clearance bridges, low weight limited bridges, and very narrow downtown turns. Is this GPS equiped with truck route? If not, then why is the option there? Somebody please help me
You will need to go to the Garmin company site and download the maps/waypoint/information for the area of the world you are going to (this is a service authored by Jeppesen but sold for Garmin series GPSs, just like updating your IFR or VFR data base on any Garmin you fly here).
Put the card into the GPS receiver. There should be a slot on the side of the unit for the card. Just slide it in. If you have an outdoor handheld unit that does not have a slot on the side, open the battery compartment, remove the batteries and look behind the batteries for the slot.
To upload maps to the card, either copy the appropriate files using Windows Explorer (the GPS receiver will appear as a removable drive) or use whatever Garmin mapping program you have to send the maps to the receiver.
I had my nuvi 205w for less than a year and one day it just died… Is there something I can do to fix it? Like a certain restart technique or a installation? it doesnt turn on at all…
There are 2 methods.
1) Copy JPEG photos to a SD memory card and insert the card into your Nuvi 200. You may keep the SD card in your Nuvi or just insert the card when you want to view photos. From the home screen click on the settings, which is the wrench icon. Click on the Picture Viewer icon and your photos should be there.

2) Plug your Nuvi 200 into a USB cable and drag photos to the /Garmin directory of your Nuvi. The Nuvi needs to be recognized by your computer as a mass storage device, for files/images to be transferred. On my computer it was mapped as a drive letter F. Be warned though, there is a limited amount of space. After deleting used voice files I only had about 40MB free for pictures. If you have difficulty configuring this, I would fall back to option 1.
