No. Well, you can but the results won’t be good.
The foot pod is basically a pedometer for times when you are indoors or cannot get satellite signals.
A pedometer relies on sensing when you swing your foot while walking/running and how long your stride is.
Both of those are very erratic when you are skating.
i just recently bought the garmin fr60 watch offline, and it came with a heart moniter but not a foot pod i bought one seperately and it wont connect to my watch, what do i do?
I bought my girlfriend a Garmin Forerunner 50 with foot pod and heart rate monitor for Christmas. She will be studying abroad in Denmark next semester, and I’d like to know if the foot pod (GPS enabled to track distance) will work there. I know some other Garmin products only work in the US unless you pay extra. Does anyone know if this is the case with the Forerunner 50?
I have a problem with the foot pad measuring speed. It is very close to the speed when I am on the treadmill until I go over 5 MPH. Then the readings are very erratic. Any ideas. I’ve only had this about 5 days. Tried replacing the battery on the foot pad but that did nothing. I just might have to take this back if I can’t get this to work better.

I am looking top buy a GARMIN Forerunner 405 but im getting confused in whether or not i need to buy the foot pod to allow me to see my pace?
Are there any other watches “good” that shows pace and distance ran?
When I select the ‘push pair’ option the foot pod is not recognised. This is a new foot pod so I don’t think it’s the battery.
