is it normal for it not to find any signal? it never finds it . it keeps saying acquiring signal. please help me why is this happening ?
have you checked the garmin website for any downloads you may need to fix a problem with this model?
I click on police and my 205w finds police depts from 50 miles away but not my local police dept. I also serch for police with the same results. Any ideas

Go to Garmin’s website and download WebUpdater:http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdate…
This program will search for updates and enhancements for your nuvi, including other languages. When I ran WebUpdater for my nuvi 200, I was able to install the Thai voice package. They also have other languages for text.
Check Ebay …. I found several older charts there for my plotter. Or you can see if West Marine or some other retailer can burn it for You. The Garmin website may have sources.
Maybe celebrity voices, impersonators, etc…
