Does Any One Know Why Garmin Discontinued The M5 Pocket Pc?

I don’t know, but this may be a hint. Try looking at http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62564 It says in part “After being unable to install the wifi driver (following message is displayed after installing the drivers from SanDisk homepage: “the program you have installed may not display proberly because it was designed for previous version of windows mobile software”) I surfed in the internet and found several comments that the Garmin Ique M5 is sold with Windows 2003 Second Edition preinstalled that is incompatible with the drivers of the wifi card.

They have them on sale at Target and i was wondering whether it be wise to buy a product that has been discontinued?

I Decided I Want To Buy A Garmin C340 Gps For My Car, However I Found Out It Is Now Discontinued.?

Can this cause any problems in the future as far as map updates (would I not be eligible for free map updates on a discontinued product if it comes loaded with the old map)?
Will the manufacturer warranty still be good?
Anything else I am not thinking of that could be cause for concern on discontinued product?
