I bought this a month ago and ever since using it in California, it does not find the satellites when I am back home in the Midwest
I don’t know, but this may be a hint. Try looking at http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62564 It says in part “After being unable to install the wifi driver (following message is displayed after installing the drivers from SanDisk homepage: “the program you have installed may not display proberly because it was designed for previous version of windows mobile software”) I surfed in the internet and found several comments that the Garmin Ique M5 is sold with Windows 2003 Second Edition preinstalled that is incompatible with the drivers of the wifi card.
I had to look up what Class 1 Division 2 meant – it seems to be a British standard for ruggedness for use of electronic devices in harsh environments. Based on what I read (heat, fire, chemical contact, etc.) and my experience with the eTrex Legend device, I would hazard a guess that it is NOT a Class 1 Div 2 device.
I would also believe that if it were classified this way, that Garmin would put that in the spec sheet (http://www.garmin.com/products/etrexLege… Googling I found only 1 device that advertises this fact – couldn’t buy it or get a price online though.
Do i hve to buy GPS tracking. Can GPS Garmin be as a tracking device too?

i accidently format my garmin system, now call the Garmin customer service and thye give me the download link to 2010City Navagartion i download it but i dont know what to do help me please what to do??

when i turn my nuvi 200 on, it goes through the process, “loading maps” and then asks me to confirm the agreement. A new message is displayed “no detailed maps found that support routing. the nuvi cannot be used without them”
i got the Satnav unit for christmas 2007 whitch came with no cd. i looked on the garmin website and they want £60 to “update the maps”.
i just want my maps back? can anyone help?
