Which Gps Is Better: Magellan Or Garmin?
I recieved a Magellan Maestro 4040 for Christmas. I’ve seen it around town for $300 (on sale). My parents have a Garmin and I can’t get my mom to stop talking about how much better their GPS is than mine. She keeps suggesting that I take it back and get a Garmin. I’m not going to…but does what she say have any validity? Which brand is better?
They’re both good. No, no validity in your mother’s statements. Consumer ratings are consistently high for both. If you don’t need the additional traffic-feed subscription service (which doesn’t work well), I’d stick with Magellan.
I’ve purchased one Garmin and three Magellan’s. The Magellans seem more solid, just as reliable and a bit more user-intuitive than the Garmin products.
