What Is The Best Garmin To Buy?
I am 18 years old and going to college very far away, I am not very familiar with the area, do you think i should purchase one? If so which one is the best to get? I don’t want to spend more than $350

If you are lucky you can find something in Garmin’s 700 series for that price; that is one of the better series since it has many nice features.
A quick search online just now found a Garmin Nuvi 750, 760, 770 and 780 all for under or around $350 (the nicest, the 780, is available for $284 but I don’t know how long that will last!). These models are a couple years old, and Garmin is pushing its newer models.
But they will still support these old ones for a time, so it’s a great time to buy them. You can get Bluetooth wireless in the 780, as well as three free months of traffic MSN Direct service. Overall, the 780 will get you where you want to go and has a lot of great stuff (mp3 player, picture viewer, etc).
Alternatively, you can get a Nuvi 850 for around that price if you’re a bit lucky. The 850 has driver speech recognition, which is helpful (and cool!). Currently I see an 850 brand new for $367, which is a very low price so it may not last, but keep your eyes open.
In short: buy a slightly older model that is still supported by Garmin, anything in the 700 or 800 series would be fine if you see it for your price.
