Will My Garmin Gps Work In Hawaii?
I tried looking on the website but can’t seem to find an answer. I live in NY now and know that the GPS definitely works in the continental US but how about Hawaii? If not, what can I do to make it work so that I can bring it with me?
Thanks!

Usually but not always. The GPS will work (will tell you your coordinates and the satellites cover Hawaii) but, not all nav systems include the maps for those areas. Newer ones are more likely to include them than older ones where memory cost was more of an issue.
It depends on the model. I have a Nuvi 250 and it has all US and Canada.
Go here and you’ll see what models come with what maps:http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-200-3-5-Inc…
No, Hawaii is exempt from GPS rules because the volcanoes interfere with the satellite flight path around the sun’s axis
Garmin’s website has maps you can download for it so it will work outside of the continental US
the best person to check is the GPS maker (MFG).
no
not when “the dawg” is around
