My Garmin Street Pilot C550 Does Not Seem To Charge In The Car , Any Suggestions Why?
Will it charge when connected to the computer or another power source? If it charges everywhere else except the car, that would indicate a problem with the cigarette lighter or a problem with the car charging cable. It could be a blown fuse for the cigarette lighter or in the car charging cable, or could be an electrical problem in the car.
Rechargeable battery have limit life. When they get old, they no longer hold a charge.
Contact Garmin and see if they have a battery service.

I had a problem with my street pilot also. I called the company and they had me send it in and gave me a new one for free.
