I Just Updated My Garmin C330 With Update 2008 But How Do I Know If It Updated!?!?
On the cd case that I bought I shows that the interface changes a little after the update. The arrow that shows where you are becomes a small car and the time and distance to turn changes into a more modern one. I just updated the gps using my Laptop with Vista. The garmin wizard said the update was complete but how do I know for sure?
I had a Garmin 2 yrs ago. I remember that it displays the version no. and the date when it starts. When you turn on the GPS stay focus on the start-up screen, take note of the version and the date. It should be the same as the latest version update. For example if the version displayed dated back to 2006, or early 2007 then the update maybe uncompleted. Be sure to save copy of the update because Garmin may delete that in their website if feedbacks from costumers are negative. It happened ones when my friend requested me to update his unit, and the update was deleted by Garmin so his GPS stayed in the old version.
