I've never had a major problem with either one. In my area I've seen more map and locating errors on the Garmin even though it's map is newer. It's entirely possible that the opposite is true in your area. The TT seems to acquire the satellites quicker. There's a decent forum where the strengths and shortcomings of just about every GPS is discussed. I would suggest that you spend time reading there as a guest. I've posted the link below.
