I’m not sure if the options you want are available, but if they are, Garmin is your best choice. We have two, both work great. Ours came from Wal*Mart, but Best Buy, or most any electronics store should have them for sale.
I am a fan of TomTom, got the TomXL, has an internal rechargeable battery so you can actually take it out of the car, has a large screen. It does not have fmtrans, but other TomTom models do. I actually find the voice nav a little annoying, i would much rather be listening to music.
Check the link in the source box. Consumer Reports has tested most GPS Systems on the market. The top 10 are listed in the source, Garmin Nuvi 760 and Nuvi 660 are the top 2. Maesto is number 3 and TomTom’s are 4 and 5 on the best GPS list
The audio on directions is very good on the Garmin. I dont know about the tomtom. I have heard some off brands and the directions given sound awful. All of them will get you there.

Tom Tom is better for UK and Europe, Garmin is best for US. I like the Garmin Nuvi series. Amazon.com has some good prices.
