Using Realtime Traffic With Garmin 255wt?
I have a Garmin Nuvi 255WT that supposedly has lifetime traffic updates. Do I have to do something to activate that or turn that on? I did not see any directions about that, and I have not seen any updates about traffic when using it. Am I doing something wrong, or have I just not been in enough traffic for that to activate?

The new models don’t need a seperate antena attached anymore. Go to Garmin’s website & check your city list. The RTT only works in certain areas.
The link below lists the cities. If you’re no on the list, that’s why it doesn’t work.
If you have the cable attached and the antenna plugged into the cable, you will see an icon on the screen when in map mode and in range of a traffic station.
Select that and you will go into traffic mode.
