How Can A Get A Gps Reception In Canada And A Map Of Canada For Free For My Garmin.?

I think that they have the entire continent (North America), at least the one I own does. And they do receive the GPS signals.
I had no problem using my (purchased in Canada) Garmin, in Florida.
