Garmin Nuvi 350, Why Has Screen Has Gone All White?
I think my nuvi might have taken a little fall, and now the screen has gone all white. I cannot see anything, at all, just white. I believe the actual unit is still working, because I can hear the beeps when I touch the screen, but I cannot see anything on the screen.
There is probably a problem with the connection between the display and the board inside the unit. Maybe it became dislodged or damaged. Since you caused the damage, there’s less of a chance that Garmin will fix/replace the unit for you under warranty, but you can always try calling them. I have heard that they are very generous sometimes.
If the unit is out of warranty, maybe you can have someone knowledgeable in electronics open it up to see if the cable for the display just came loose. The thing is pretty much useless right now, so if the thing breaks while being examined, you won’t really be losing anything.
