Will My Garmin Etrex Work Overseas Without Purchasing New Software?
I will be going to Afghanistan soon and want to know if any service member has used their personal GPS without buying new map software. All I need is know if it will still give me the proper UTM grid coordinance when I use it.
Yeah bro, I used mine in Iraq and the Stan without purchasing any additional software. Called for fire with it twice in Stan and used it several times to plot sniper hides to 10 digit accuracy. Yeah it’ll work fine.
