What files do you want to open? The only file which can be usefully edited is the Favorites file in Garmingpxcurrent.gpx. The only other thing worth messing with is the points of interest, and there’s a separate Garmin program “POI Loader” for that. The maps and such are binary files and you don’t want to mess with them or you run the risk of corrupting them.
