Is A Sd Card Necessary For The Garmin Nuvi 680?
I just bought my boyfriend the garmin nuvi 680 for his birthday and the salesman told me how in order to have maps on it I must have an sd card…is this true? What is the point of the sd card? I thought they came with maps already on them! So confused…

Garmin’s website shows that the Nuvi 680 has maps of North America pre-loaded. The Salesman was probably describing the SD card’s necessity for additional maps or map upgrades. You do not have to worry about including an SD card to make the birthday present complete.
