I Have A Garmin Street Pilot C340. How Does The Sd Card Slot Work?

I thought the unit is supposed to read SD cards, say with photos or MP3′s on it, but when I put a card in the slot, nothing happens? Are there any geniuses out there that can help me?

The StreetPilot c340 does not play MP3s or display photos. The nuvi series does. The SD card is only for holding map data in your particular unit.
