How Do You Stop A Garmin Nuvi 765 From Interfering With The Signal For A Garage Door Remote?
When I have the GPS device in my car, it will not allow me to close the garage door using my remote in the car. When the device is not in the car, the remote will work just fine. The problem seems to be with the closing of the door. The remote will work fine to open the door, for some reason it will just not close it.
Did you try to turn off the GPS to see if it still happened? Is your opener wired into the car or is it a simple hand held one? Is your GPS wired into the car or is it an after market one?
Makes no sense. What if you have turn the GPS off?
Garage door openers use simple RF transmitters that have nothing to do with GPS.
Try to change the frequency (key combination ) on your garage door transmitter and see if that helps.
