Does Anyone Know How To Change The Current Location On Garmin Nuvi Gps?
The current location is set to Kansas and I live in Arizona. I looked through the manual, I’ve looked online, I tried resetting the coordinates, and I’ve even tried resetting the GPS but I still can’t get the current location to change. So every time I try to go somewhere, I’m getting directions from Kansas. Please help! Thank you!
That sounds like your GPS is thinking it still has the original Garmin factory default address in Kansas, and hasn’t picked up your current location yet.
For first time use, you need to leave the GPS outside with unobstructed view to the sky, and leave it in one spot until it picks up the satellite signal. That can take a few minutes to sometimes 20-30 min, depending on the GPS and strength of satellite signal.
