Best To Go For Text-to-speech Feature Or High-sensitivity Receiver With A Garmin Gps?
I’m narrowing down my search of which GPS I want to get. Now I’m stuck between two, one which has the high-sensitivity receiver feature, but not text-to-speech, and the other, vice versa. Which is more important? Does the high-sensitivity feature really make that much of a difference? Thanks in advance!

Go with the better receiver. With the older receiver you needed to have line of sight to communicate with GPS satellites, so if you are in a city behind tall buildings or even inside a parking garage, you could have no or a weak signal. Also, the high peformance receiver is pretty much standard with new GPS units, so if you see a GPS without one, it’s probably an older model that has other shortcomings, like older software and maps, and fewer features.
Text-to-speech is a very useful feature but I would rank it below the receiver. The nuvi 260 is the lowest Garmin model with new receiver and TTS, and it’s now $263 on amazon. Unless this is for a Christmas gift, I’d wait a bit for prices to drop further, and get both features.
