Can We Use Openstreetmap With Garmin Vista Hcx To Obtain Navigation Directions?
I can import maps from www.openstreetmap.org into my Garmin etreX series (Vista HCx). Now I would like to know if these maps can be used by the device to suggest directions when navigating to a certain point.

The Map Authors group will be the better one of the two for this answer but the Etrex Legend group is better for general questions on the etrex family.
