What Gps Brand Usually Has The Best Signal? I Am Looking To Spend No More Than 250 On A Gps Device But I Want?
to know if certain brands carry a signal better than others, i currently have an older garmin gps and it does great its not the newer flat screen ones, it loses the signal every now and then and i was going to be getting a job driving and i dont know the streets very well, is there any kind of gps that can keep track of where u are even without a signal or load in a pre loaded route of directions? any help or suggestions would be great

In general, Garmin or Tom Tom are the best.
>what gps brand usually has the best signal<
All GPS devices use exactly the same signal, so your entire question is predicated on something that isn’t true. The different GPS receivers could have different sensitivities or may take differing amounts of time to lock on a signal, but it is the same signal. I’ve used at least 6 or 8 between ones I have owned, had in a car, got from a rental agency, etc and all have behaved just about the same.
All units will loose the signal if you go in a tunnel, under a bridge or even if you are in an area with tall buildings.
I have heard of GPS units with 3 axis accelerometers in them which will continue to plot position, even without a signal… I don’t know if these are consumer level devices or government/military though.
What I do know is that such a cutting edge device is not available for $250.
