Garmin nüvi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (Silver)
The garmin nuvi 250 is inexpensive and easy to use GPS device. It comes with pre-loaded maps of the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico . It has a turn-by-turn guidance with 3.5 inch color tough display. 6 millions POI database , photo view and other useful utilites such as calculator and unit converters. It does a great job as GPS device without any unnecessary functions. However this device does not come with a Text-to-Speach(TTS) function. The newer model nuvi 1250 comes with TTS but it's over $200 dollars as of this writing. You can select nuvi 1200 which is about $170. They both have TTS function. The difference between 1250 and 1200 is that 1250 shows speed limit on the display. Garmin nuvi 250 is still in production due to its popularity and its low price which is about $90~$130 these days (Summer 2009)
